BIO
Ethan Nielson - FILM CRITIC, PLAY WRITE AND AUTHOR.
The purpose of this site is to provide recomendations to the movie and stage going public as to what I deem exceptional entertainment that both entertains and enlightens our lives.
I came to Los Angeles in 1976 to become an actor where I studied for many years wtih Lois Auer, one of the preeminent acting coaches in the business. I also studied with Paul Roman (Theatre of Light) and Hank McCann (Herbert Ross' casting director, ie. Steel Magnolias). I've also studied piano, voice and guitar. Because of the nature of the business I found employment with the Universal Studios Tour where I experienced
first hand filming on sets between acting stints for five years. I was recognized as Tour Guide of the Year in 1980.
Outside of Hollywood I've held many positions in the finance industry and was property manager for a large apartment complex in Los Angeles for 13 years.
Recently I've been involved in writing articles published in "Inside The Vatican" magazine.
